The Wedding Chapel looks at events in both the post-World War Two era and the present day, with perspectives from the four major players. It doesn’t look good for these sympathetic and likeable characters, but the whoosh-thump heartbeat of a lonely building means anything is possible. Jimmy’s father had nothing good to say about women after Jimmy’s mother left them and orphaned Colette had only a manipulative sister to call family. They’ll face family secrets, betrayals and misunderstandings but will love win out? Jack was let down by his father while Taylor believed her father was responsible for breaking up her father. This is the beautiful tale of two couples, generations apart, who must decide whether or not to fight for their relationships. I’ve enjoyed every Rachel Hauck novel that I’ve read, and I’m happy to say The Wedding Chapel is no exception.
